From Artist to Corporate Shill
Well, I don't know if you'd call an Email Marketing Copywriter an artist, per se... but I was a Picasso with the dotwhacks. But after six years, it was time to move on. An opportunity opened up in the Internal Communications department at QVC.
Apart from the internal news stories, I was able to work with executives on their communications - talking points, emails, etc. I even wrote the script for the CEO's orientation video, which greeted new employees. Plus I was given the responsibility as Editor of the employee newsletter, QVC Ink. Soon after I took the role, I changed the style to a more magazine style - iQ. I have to say, it was a hit. Plus I got to interview Joan Rivers! Can you beat that? Didn't think so!
